Description

Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) is seeking a School Based Learning Loss Intervention Specialist to join the PCS Team!

As a Learning Loss Intervention Specialist you are based in the school setting assessing and providing support for students surrounding mental health needs that have increased during the pandemic. The students needs could range from anxiety, depression, deterioration of social skills, suicidal ideations, problems at home and potentially drug and alcohol issues. 

Main job duties:

• Assess and identify student needs
• Provide individual assessments and treatment
• Provide brief individual counseling/therapy sessions for students
• Provide psycho educational groups using evidence based practice interventions
• Support students with addressing anxiety associated with attending school
• Refer students to other services as needed
• Connect students to MH services for ongoing treatment
• Attend school meetings during the school day and after school for case coordination

Individuals in this position would receive ongoing supervision and specialized training. EOE

Working Hours 35 hours/week when school is in session
