Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Addictions, or related field (LSW preferred but not required).
• Completed clinical practicum, internship, or field placement during your graduate program (preferred but not required).
• Experience in diagnosing and providing individual therapy is preferred but not required.
• PA State Police Criminal History Check.
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
• FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services.

Description

Join Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) as a dedicated Outpatient Therapist and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, adults, and families facing mental health and addiction challenges.

Position Highlights:

• Flexible schedule options with the opportunity to work four days per week after establishing your caseload.
• Newly increased pay rates, with additional incentives for not needing health insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct 5 Level of Care assessments per week.
• Facilitate at least 2 drug and alcohol or co-occurring groups each week, including Intensive Outpatient sessions.
• Provide individual therapy and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.

At PCS, we utilize diverse treatment approaches to meet individual needs, empowering our clients on their journey to recovery. Our therapists facilitate intake, individual, and group therapy sessions, focusing on growth, optimism, hope, and healing.

Schedule:

• Full-time therapists typically work Monday through Friday, including two evening shifts per week, with options to transition to a four-day workweek.
• After your caseload is established, only 30 working hours per week are required.
• Office hours are generally from 8 AM to 8 PM (Monday-Thursday) and 8 AM to 5 PM (Friday), allowing flexibility in setting your schedule for work-life balance.
