An LSW with extensive outpatient experience or those with a bilingual skill may be considered.

Additional requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a human services or related field
    • Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
    • Ability to obtain required clearances:
  • PA State Police Criminal History Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services

Part-Time School-Based Therapist (Licensed)

Pennsylvania Counseling Services / LiveUp Counseling is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Therapist to provide school-based outpatient mental health services at a private K–12 school in Lancaster, PA.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist looking for flexible daytime hours that align with a school schedule.

Many clinicians in this role are parents of school-aged children who want to continue practicing therapy while maintaining a schedule that works for family life.

Position Overview

The School-Based Outpatient Therapist provides individual outpatient therapy to students in grades K–12 within a supportive private school setting.

Sessions take place during the school day, allowing therapists to maintain a predictable schedule without evenings or late clinic hours.

This role typically involves:

  • 6–12 hours per week
    2–3 days per week
    A few hours per day during school hours

This position is a 1099 independent contractor role, with reimbursement ranging from $55-$72 per hour.

Compensation

This is an independent contractor (1099) position and compensation is based upon caseload size and service provision which is dictated by the provider and referral stream.  On average there are 10-12 clients per week available at this school, perfect for a part-time clinician seeking additional income during school hours.
