We are searching for a Master's Level Intern to join our Check & Connect Mentor team in York!
The Mentor's primary goal is to keep education a salient issue for disengaged students, families and the student's teachers. This position is focused on a truancy prevention and intervention evidence based practice delivered in partnership with local schools, community agencies and parents/families.
As a Truancy Mentor Intern you would be working with the full time Check and Connect Mentors with adolescents in the school setting who are truant from school. This position would involve running two groups with students.
Must be able to work independently, be organized and be willing to transport clients in your own vehicle as needed. This internship is from August 2022-May 2023. EOE.
